Ready to go beyond just a spin? This six-week introduction to wheel throwing dives deeper — giving you time to really learn, practice, and grow your skills while having fun along the way. More than a taster — this is your chance to get hands-on with the wheel, week after week, and actually see your skills take shape. Think of it as pottery bootcamp — but way more fun! Over six weeks, you’ll learn the foundations of wheel throwing in a relaxed, creative environment. Settle in with a cuppa or BYO wine and come and learn the wheel with our very talented teacher Larissa Warren. Larissa will show you the basics to wheel throwing and help you perfect your throwing skills. You will learn in an intimate and cozy setting. The wheel is a skill that requires some practice and mastering but you can expect to make some bowls, some cups, small vases. We will spend 5 weeks on the wheel. There will be a one week break and on the 6th week we will glaze our pieces. We will make a few key pieces and explore some glazing options to have a go at mixing a few glaze combinations for some interesting pieces. Classes are limited to 7 for a more hands on experience with the teacher. What to bring: All tools provided- please bring a towel Firing Fees: All materials and firing fees are included. Pottery Breakage Clay is a fickle medium- I take great care in looking after all students pieces- but the nature of Pottery is that it can break for many reasons. No refunds are provided in the unfortunate event that your pottery breaks or cracks in the kiln. Pottery is a very delicate process. Refunds Please note that by purchasing this ticket you are securing a spot at an event that is usually booked out. I do not refund for cancellations. I will only refund in the event of a Covid Lockdown. If you cannot make it- you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend. There are strictly no makeup classes for this course.
