Have a bit of the pottery bug- . This course is a relaxing way to pick up a few pottery basics. We wont be making anything too serious and will suit beginners looking to make a few more pieces. It is essentially a Clay and Sip that is split over 4 classes. We will make a few key pieces and explore some glazing options including underglazing, colouring with slip , sgraffito and of course have a go at mixing a few glaze combinations for some interesting pieces. We will still learn in a relaxing environment similar to the Clay and Sip classes and will listen to a bit of the BeeGees and Stevie Nicks as we learn the gentle and slow process of hand-building with clay. I will guide you through the steps of working with clay and learning some basic pottery skills. You will make a few pieces including 2 x plates A salad bowl, Cups and saucers Everything included.- all clay, glaze and firings. 1.5- 2 hours every week for 3 weeks and then a week gap before the final class.. ( 4 classes).
